Trust AI Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 23, 2026
This policy explains how the Trust AI website and Chrome extension (“Trust AI” and “Trusty”) collect, use, store, and share information when you choose to use them.
Information we process
- Account information: email address, full name and date of birth if you provide them, account identifiers, authentication/session information, and account status.
- Content you submit: text you paste into the checker, text you explicitly choose to load from a page, and prompts and replies in Trusty chats.
- Service and billing information: selected models, model weights for checks, token/usage estimates, actual API costs, wallet balance and transaction-related records needed to operate the service.
- Technical information: limited request, error, and security logs generated by the website, hosting provider, and backend.
How the extension accesses page text
The extension does not continuously read or automatically scroll pages to collect answers. If you choose “Load highlighted text,” it reads the text currently selected on the active page so you can review it in the extension. Text is sent for checking only when you choose to run the check. The extension uses the minimum browser access it needs for these user-triggered features.
How we use information
- To authenticate you and show your account and wallet balance.
- To run the checker, produce Trusty responses, calculate usage charges, and prevent requests when your account cannot cover them.
- To save and display Trusty conversation history when that feature is used.
- To secure, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the service, and to respond to support requests.
Who receives information
Information is processed by service providers that are necessary to run Trust AI:
- Supabase: authentication, account/profile data, and supported database features such as Trusty conversation history.
- Render: hosting and operation of Trust AI’s backend.
- OpenAI, xAI (Grok), and Anthropic (Claude): prompts or answer text and relevant conversation context are sent to the selected provider models to generate answers or evaluate submitted text. The providers process requests under their own terms and privacy policies.
- GitHub Pages: hosting the public Trust AI website and this policy.
We do not sell submitted content or use it to create targeted advertising. We do not send browser history or page content that you have not chosen to submit as part of the checker workflow. We do not intentionally allow people to read submitted content except where necessary for a support request you authorize, security investigation, or legal compliance.
Storage and security
The extension stores your authentication session and selected model settings locally in Chrome storage. Some information is stored by the service providers listed above to provide accounts, wallet features, and Trusty chat history. Data is transmitted to Trust AI services over HTTPS. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid submitting sensitive personal information.
Retention and choices
We keep account, usage, security, and conversation information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, provide history and billing records, resolve disputes, protect the service, and comply with applicable obligations. Trust AI’s available in-product controls may not delete every server-side record. You can log out of the extension to remove its saved login session from that browser. To ask a question about your data or request account-data deletion, contact Trust AI Support using the contact method shown on the Account page. Some records may need to be retained for legitimate operational or legal reasons.
Children
Trust AI is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact support so the situation can be reviewed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date above shows when this version was published.
Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, use the text-only support contact displayed on the Trust AI Account page.
This policy describes the current intended service behavior. If a feature or provider changes, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures should be updated before release.
